To ensure you get the best performance from your FM wireless stereo sound system please read this manual carefully.

Read these instructions.All the safety and operating instructions should be read before using the wireless headphone system.

Check if the voltage indicated on the type plate of the adapter corresponds to the local mains voltage before connecting to the mains power supply.

Remove the batteries from the headphone’s battery compartment and disconnect the adapter from the mains if the system is not in use for a long period.

Prevent fire or shock hazard: do not expose this equipment to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight.

Radio equipment for wireless audio applications is not protected against disturbance from other radio services.

Before using the FM headphone for the first time, please ensure that the batteries are fully charged for about 16 hours.This will guarantee a longer operating lifetime of the batteries.

Multiple headphones with one transmitter

An additional number of headphones and/or wireless speakers can be used with a single transmitter if they:

— operate in the 864 MHz band

— can detect a 19 kHz pilot tone.

Please consult the appliance’s electrical specification sheets for confirmation on compatibility.

This FM headphone system consists of the following accessories:

1 x SBC HC8352 FM transmitter

1 x SBC HC8355 FM headphone

1 x SBC CS030/00 12Volt / 200mA AC/DC adapter

2 x rechargeable batteries LR03/AAA (NiCd), 220 mAh

1 x antenna tube

Transmitter (figure 1)

1 Recharging indicator – the green LED lights up during recharging. Completely flat batteries will be fully charged after about 16 hours.

2 Power indicator – lights up when audio signals are detected at the audio input.

3 Recharging compartment – just place the batteries in the transmitter’s battery compartment.The green LED lights up during recharging.

4 DC power – connect to the 12 Volt/ 200 mA AC/DC adapter

5 3.5 mm stereo headphone audio input – connects your FM transmitter to an audio source

6 Channel switch – select one of

2 channels for best reception.We advise you to select channel 1 as a first option.

7 Controls plate

Headphone (figure 2)

8 Power indication – lights up when in use.

9 Power On/Off – slide the switch to the on or off position to switch the headphone on/off.

10 Battery compartment – remove the earcushion, take out the batteries and put them in the transmitter’s recharging compartment for recharging.

11 Volume – adjust volume to your desired listening level.

12 Tuning – turn the tuning wheel until the signal is at its clearest.

Transmitter power supply

Use only Philips SBC CS030/00 12 Volt/200 mA AC/DC adapter.

1 Make sure the adapter’s rated voltage corresponds to the mains socket voltage.

2 Connect the DC connector of the AC/DC adapter to the 12 Volt DC power input connector located at the rear of the transmitter.

3 Connect the 12 Volt/200 mA AC/DC adapter to the mains socket.

– Always disconnect the AC/DC adapter if the transmitter is not to be used for a long period of time.

4 Insert the antenna tube in the hole, located on the top of the transmitter. Ensure that the wire which is hanging out of that hole, is guided in the antenna tube.

– Installing the antenna tube correctly, will improve the transmission range.

Headphone power supply

Use only rechargeable LR03/AAA NiCd batteries (preferably Philips).

Do not use NiMH batteries or alkaline batteries as these may damage your FM wireless system!

1 Check if the power button of the FM headphone is in the on position.

2 To recharge the headphone’s built-in rechargeable LR03/AAA NiCd batteries, open the headphone’s battery compartment.Take out the batteries and put them in the transmitter’s recharging compartment for recharging.

Completely flat batteries need approximately 16 hours to recharge.

Always remove the batteries if the headphone is not to be used for a long period of time.

Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly.

All redundant packing material has been omitted.We have done our best to make the packaging easily separable into two materials: cardboard and polyethylene

Your unit consists of materials which can be recycled if disassembled by a specialized company. Please observe the local regulations regarding the disposal of packing materials, exhausted batteries and old equipment.

Headphone battery replacement (figure 3)

Use only rechargeable LR03/AAA NiCd batteries (preferably Philips).

Do not use NiMH batteries or alkaline batteries as these may damage your FM wireless system!

1 Remove the earcushions.

2 Take out the batteries and dispose of them properly.

3 Insert new batteries. Only use LR03/AAA NiCd batteries (preferably Philips).

4 Make sure the batteries are correctly inserted as indicated by the engraved symbols in the battery compartment.

5 Put the earcushions back on the earshell.

Before using the FM headphone for the first time, please ensure that the batteries are fully charged for about 16 hours.This will guarantee a longer operating lifetime of the batteries.

Connecting the FM transmitter to a

headphone output of an audio source (figure 4)

1 Connect the 3.5mm stereo plug of the stereo audio cable to the headphone output of an audio source, such as TV, HiFi or PC.

2 Switch on your audio source and carefully increase the volume of the audio source. The red power indication LED of the transmitter lights up if receiving an audio signal.

3 Switch on the headphone.You may hear a hissing sound through the headphone if the headphone is not yet properly tuned to the transmitter.

4 To tune, turn the tuning wheel until the signal is at its clearest.

5 Adjust the volume to the desired level with the headphone volume control.

When the FM transmitter is connected to a headphone output of an audio source.

1 Switch on your audio source and carefully increase the volume of the audio source. The red power indication LED of the transmitter lights up if receiving an audio signal.

2 Switch on the headphone.You may hear a hissing sound through the headphone if the headphone is not yet properly tuned to the transmitter.

3 To tune, turn the tuning wheel until the signal is at its clearest.

4 Adjust the volume to the desired level with the headphone volume control.

Il est possible d’utiliser un certain nombre de casques d’écoute supplémentaires et ou des haut-parleurs sans fils sur un seul émetteur si ces appareils sont capables:

— de fonctionner dans la bande 864 MHz

— de détecter un ton pilote de 19 kHz.

Contenu de l’équipement

Ce système de casque FM comprend les accessoires suivants:

1 x casque FM SBC HC8355

1 x adaptateur CA/CC 12 Volt/200 mA SBC CS030/00

2 x piles rechargeables LR03/AAA (NiCd),

1 x tube d’antenne

Émetteur (figure 1)

1 Indicateur de charge – la diode luminescente de couleur verte s’allume lors du rechargement. Des piles complètement déchargées arriveront à charge complète après 16 heures de charge.

2 Indicateur d’alimentation – s’allume lorsque des signaux audio sont détectés au niveau de l’entrée audio.

3 Compartiment de charge – placez tout simplement les piles dans le compartiment des piles de l’émetteur. La diode luminescente de couleur verte s’allume lors du rechargement.

4 Alimentation CC – se connecte à l’adaptateur CA/CC 12 volts/200mA

5 Entrée audio 3,5 pour casque stéréo – connecte votre émetteur FM à une source audio.

6 Commutateur de canal – sélectionnez l’un des 2 canaux disponibles pour obtenir la meilleure réception. Nous vous conseillons de sélectionner le canal 1 en première option.

7 Panneau de commandes Casque d’écoute (figure 2)

8 Indication d’alimentation – s’allume lorsque le casque est sous tension.

9 Mise sous tension/hors tension – mettez le sélecteur en position de mise sous ou hors tension pour mettre le casque d’écoute sous tension/hors tension.

10 Compartiment des piles – enlevez les coussins auriculaires, enlevez les piles et placez-les dans le compartiment de charge pour qu’elles puissent se recharger.

11 Volume – ajustez le volume au niveau d’écoute désiré.

12 Syntonisation – tournez le bouton de syntonisation jusqu’à ce que le signal soit aussi clair que possible.

Alimentation de l’émetteur

4 Insérez le tube d’antenne dans le trou situé sur le dessus de l’émetteur. Assurez-vous que le fil qui pend hors du trou est adéquatement guidé dans le tube de l’antenne.

– Installer correctement le tube d’antenne permettra d’améliorer la plage de transmission.

Alimentation du casque d’écoute

N’utilisez que des piles rechargeables NiCd LR03/AAA (de préférence des piles Philips).

N’utilisez pas des piles NiMH ou des piles alcalines, vous pourriez, ce faisant, endommager votre système FM sans fil!

Utiliser exclusivement l’adaptateur CA/CC 12 Volt/200 mA Philips SBC CS030/00.

1 Assurez-vous de ce que la tension nominale de l’adaptateur correspond bien à la tension de la prise du secteur.

2 Connectez le connecteur CC de l’adaptateur CA/CC au connecteur d’entrée 12 volts CC situé à l’arrière de l’émetteur.

3 Connectez l’adaptateur CA/CC 12 volts/ 200 mA à la prise du secteur.

– Déconnectez toujours l’adaptateur CA/CC lorsqu’il est clair que l’émetteur ne sera pas utilisé pendant une longue période.

1 Assurez-vous de ce que le bouton de mise sous tension de votre casque d’écoute FM est bien sur la position de mise sous tension.

2 Pour recharger les piles rechargeables intégrées NiCd LR03/AAA, ouvrez le compartiment des piles du casque d’écoute. Enlevez les piles et placez-les dans le compartiment de charge de l’émetteur pour qu’elles puissent se recharger.

Des piles complètement déchargées ont besoin d’environ 16 heures pour se recharger entièrement.

Enlevez toujours les piles lorsqu’il est clair que vous n’utiliserez pas le casque pendant une longue période.

Les piles contiennent des substances chimiques, leur mise au rebut doit donc se faire de manière conséquente.

Informations sur l’environnement

Tous les matériaux d’emballage inutiles ont été évités. Nous avons fait le maximum pour autoriser la séparation des matériaux d’emballage en trois catégories: le carton, le polystyrène expansé et le polyéthylène.
