* Lenovo Settings
* Lenovo System Interface Foundation

I found the following on Lenovo’s forum, describing Lenovo.Modern.ImController.PluginHost.exe, which may give some hint what the purpose of the file is:

"As you probably know there are 2 main components. The store apps (Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings), and Lenovo System Interface Foundation (LSIF). The store apps interface to LSIF via a device driver that is installed in Device Manager -> System Devices -> System Interface Foundation Device. From there the device driver dispatches requests to a system service that is installed in Services.msc -> System Interface Foundation Service. The system service starts an instance of Lenovo.Modern.ImController.PluginHost.exe to do whatever "work" that the app needs to do. such as install updates, run a hardware scan, change a setting, etc. The plugins are all installed to C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\ImController\Plugins. The plugins are designed to start as needed, do whatever work they are requested to do (by the app), and then exit

After purchasing a Lenovo laptop & basically rebuilding it from a mess that Lenovo shipped it in. The Lenovo apps would not sinc together i.e., the left app didn’t know what the right app was doing. I got so fed up with their programs I uninstalled them all. All was fine; but Microsoft 10 version updates keep reinstalling it. If memory hasn’t eluded me; i think the I.M. stands for(I)nternet (M)edia Controller; but without the other Lenovo apps to control it; I haven’t a clue why Win10 updates reinstall it for. It serves no purpose that I have noticed; unless its suppose to provide some boot sector security. Otherwise its been worthless as for what I have experienced with it.
