Почему Fortnite удалили из App Store
Конфликт между Apple и Fortnite начался еще в августе 2020 года. Apple удалила Fortnite после того, как в разработчики (Epic Games) добавили в свою игру возможность оплаты игровых покупок в обход магазина приложений App Store, что противоречит политике купертиновцев.
Конфликт между Fortnite и Apple затянулся надолго.
После удаления игры из App Store компания подала на Apple в суд и заявила, что подопечные Тима Кука абсолютно незаконно пытаются сохранить монополию сразу по двум позициям. Во-первых, на Айфоне нельзя устанавливать программы из сторонних источников, во-вторых, все платежи в играх проходят через Apple и купертиновцы берут за это достаточно большую комиссию — целых 30%.
За 2 года дело обросло кучей тонких подробностей. Мои коллеги следят за ситуацией и рассказывают вам о последних событиях конфликта Apple и Fortnite чуть ли не сразу после каждого судебного заседания. Если интересно, можете прочесть об этом здесь. Можно ли запустить Fortnite на Айфоне
Долгое время владельцы яблочной техники были лишены возможности поиграть Фортнайт на Айфоне. Однако в начале мая появилась интересная информация. Оказалось, что компания Microsoft намерена вернуть возможность играть в Fortnite на iPhone и iPad. Но не через App Store, а через стриминговый сервис Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Играть в Fortnite на iPhone можно было и раньше. Но не в России.
Xbox Cloud Gaming — облачный игровой сервис от Microsoft, с помощью которого вы можете запустить представленные на площадке игры через интернет, а сам игровой процесс будет транслироваться с удаленных серверов.
Мы намеренно не рассказывали вам о такой возможности, поскольку в России Xbox Cloud Gaming не работает. Нет, конечно, вы прямо сейчас можете найти инструкцию по установке Fortnite на Айфон через сервис Microsoft и включить VPN, но делать мы этого вам строго не рекомендуем. Во-первых, скорость интернет-соединения через VPN очень низкая, а во-вторых, само соединение нестабильное.
Чуть позже, 19 мая, похожую возможность представил игровой облачный сервис GeForce NOW. Мы в редакции с нетерпением ждали его уже давно. Еще в феврале о GeForce NOW рассказывал мой коллега, автор AppleInsider.ru Иван Кузнецов. Тогда Fortnite для iPhone появился в GeForce Now в рамках закрытого бета-тестирования, а сейчас доступен для всех официально.
