How to enable JavaScript

1. Go to Menu (3-dot icon at top right) → SettingsPrivacy and SecuritySite SettingsContentJavaScript and click the Blocked switch to enable JavaScript. The label text will then change to Allow (recommended).

Chrome, Brave (Android)

Note that JavaScript is enabled automatically in Chrome for iOS/iPadOS.

Go to Menu (3-dot icon at top right) → SettingsSite SettingsJavaScript and tap the JavaScript Blocked switch to enable JavaScript. The label text will then change to Allow sites to run JavaScript (recommended).

Microsoft Edge Chromium (Windows)

Safari (macOS)

1. Go to Safari in the macOS menu bar → Preferences → Security tab → Web content and enable the Enable JavaScript checkbox.

Safari (iOS and iPadOS)

Go to iOS/iPadOS SettingsSafariAdvanced (scroll to bottom) and turn the JavaScript switch to on.

Opera (Windows, Linux, macOS)

Note that JavaScript is enabled automatically in Opera for Android and Opera for iOS/iPadOS.

1. Go to Menu (icon on far right) → Go to full browser settingsPrivacy & Security → Privacy and securitySite SettingsJavaScript. Turn the Allowed (recommended) switch on.

Open the «Easy Setup» menu

Click «Site Settings»

When you searched for «javascript», the settings screen changed to highlight sections which are relevant to JavaScript.

Scroll down and find the Site Settings option and then click it.

  • Sites can use Javascript
  • Don’t allow sites to use Javascript

  4. После этого указанный домен отобразится в окне настроек JavaScript в блоке «Разрешить». Теперь на этом сайте функция будет активирована. Таким же образом при необходимости можно добавить и другие веб-ресурсы в исключения.

Как видим, с помощью внутренних настроек браузера Opera имеется возможность включить технологию JavaScript как для всех сайтов без исключения, так и так и только для отдельных, доверенных веб-ресурсов.
